Belarusian, Russian energy ministers discuss formation of common natural gas market

MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – A working meeting of Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko, and Russian Federation Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov took place in Moscow on 1 March, the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry told BelTA.

Terms of bilateral interaction within the framework of realization of Union State programs on forming common energy markets were discussed.

In particular, the sides discussed key matters concerning formation and regulation of the common natural gas market. Further steps to reconcile common approaches to advancing integration processes in the sphere of natural gas were sketched out.
