Belarusian products on display in Angola

MINSK, 10 July (BelTA) – A Made in Belarus exposition has been opened as part of the 35th international multisectoral expo FILDA in Luanda, Angola, BelTA learned from representatives of the exhibition enterprise BelInterExpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Products of 12 Belarusian companies have been put on display. They present machines and equipment for agriculture, mining industry, housing and utilities industry, medications, food, and ingredients. A number of the companies already work on the Angolan market. Other ones intend to find business partners by participating in the expo.

During the expo AFTRADE Company presents such Belarusian companies as Amkodor, Bobruiskagromash, Gomselmash, Lidagroprommash, Lidselmash, and MTZ. AFTRADE Company and its Angolan partner OPAIA are busy setting up an enterprise to assemble Belarusian machines and vehicles in Angola with assistance of the Angolan government.

The Belarusian automobile engineering company MAZ presented special vehicles designed to operate in a hot climate. The products on display include dropside trucks, dump trucks, truck tractors designed to operate as part of road trains, dual-purpose products, trailed vehicles, and a broad range of chassis fit to carry all kinds of equipment (agricultural equipment, construction equipment, utilities).

Minsk Electrotechnical Plant named after V.I. Kozlov presented a lineup of oil-cooled distribution transformers. Minsk Dairy Plant No.1 demonstrates dairy products, including baby food. Primemilk Company brought ingredients, which are based on milk whey and can be used to make food or animal feed in Africa.

The Belarusian pharmaceutical company Borimed demonstrates a broad range of new-generation medications for treating pancreatic diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, tuberculosis, neurological diseases, and digestive tract illnesses. The Belarusian company CHEFI put on display med kits for vehicles and med kits for general use.

Angolan Agriculture Minister Marcos Nhunga, Minister of State for Economic and Social Development Manuel Nunes, and Trade Minister Joffre Van-Dunem Junior visited the Belarusian pavilion on 10 July.

FILDA is the largest expo in Southern Africa. Over 720 companies from 21 countries are taking part in this year’s expo. National expositions have been arranged by Brazil, Germany, Israel, India, Indonesia, China, Portugal, France, Japan, and other countries. Over 50,000 people are expected to visit the expo.
