Belarusian Potash Company expands presence in Ukraine

MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Potash Company is expanding its presence in Ukraine, the company’s press service told BelTA.

The company’s daughter enterprise OOO Agrorozkvit started working in Ukraine in October. The new division specializes in trading.

The Belarusian Potash Company press service explained that the decision to set up the enterprise in Ukraine had been prompted by current market trends. The new enterprise will be tasked with occupying the Ukrainian potash market as much as possible in addition to bringing Belarusian Potash Company closer to end consumers. With its well-developed agriculture Ukraine represents a large market for mineral fertilizers. Convenient logistics schemes will allow delivering products from Belarus to Ukraine as fast as possible.

The new enterprise will be run by Dmitry Kharitonchik, one of Belarusian Potash Company’s top sales specialists.

In 2015 the share of Belarusian Potash Company in the global export of potash fertilizers totaled 19.3%. Belarusian potash fertilizers were sold to over 100 countries across the globe.
