Belarusian Potash Company, Chinese CNAMPGC sign memorandum of cooperation

MINSK, 17 November (BelTA) - Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) and CNAMPGC Holding Co., Ltd, one of the biggest players in the market of mineral fertilizers of China, signed a memorandum of cooperation up to 2020, BelTA learned from the BPC press service.

A delegation of the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives headed by Vice President Mr. Li Chunsheng and CNAMPGC representatives headed by General Manager Luo Deqiang visited Belarus on 13-16 November.

The Chinese delegation met with senior officials of Belaruskali and Belarusian Potash Company to discuss the current situation on the potash market. The parties took stock of the cooperation in 2015 and exchanged views on ways to further promote the Belarusian potassium on the Chinese market.

The Chinese delegation got familiar with Belaruskali in Soligorsk, visited the potash mine and the concentrating factory, learned about the methods to produce and enrich potash ore. During the visit the Chinese guests praised the modern technological level of the company, the high quality and wide range of products, and Belaruskali’s conformity to the world standards. "We were impressed by the scale and production level of Belaruskali and will keep the most vivid memories of visiting the mine. It is worth noting that the manufacturer seeks to meet the real needs of consumers, and works relentlessly to expand the product range,” Li Chunsheng said.

For his part, Luo Deqiang added: "We have been successfully cooperating with the Belarusian manufacturer and the supplier of potassium for many years and we appreciate the level of business comfort and prompt services which Belaruskali and BPC provide.”

The CNAMPGC General Manager and BPC Director General Yelena Kudryavets signed a memorandum of cooperation for five years, from 2016 until 2020. The document attests that Belarus and China have great potential for strengthening their economic cooperation, the press service noted.

While commenting on the document, Yelena Kudryavets stressed that BPC has been successfully cooperating with CNAMPGC for many years already. Considerable amounts of potassium are exported to China annually, which keeps the bilateral trade at a high level. CNAMPGC is one of the biggest importers of Belarusian potassium. “Our cooperation with the Chinese partners is based on mutual respect and trust. We value the high level of understanding we have achieved. We thank our partners for the fruitful cooperation and want to continue it for the benefit of our companies and the economic relations between Belarus and China. The memorandum will be a roadmap for our cooperation for the next five years,” Yelena Kudryavets added.
