Belarusian petrochemical companies to step up cooperation with Serbia

MINSK, 22 April (BelTA) – Belarusian petrochemical companies have held talks regarding product deliveries with Serbian partners, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim which commented on the recent visit of the delegation of representatives of the Belarusian petrochemical complex led by Belneftekhim Deputy Chairman Vitaly Pavlov to Serbia. The talks were held under the aegis of the Belarusian Embassy in Serbia.

Specialists of the press service noted that in Q1 2015 the export of polyester made by OAO Mogilevkhimvolokno to Serbia went up 25%, the export of polyester products more than doubled in comparison with the same period of 2014. A contract was signed and the first 800 tonnes of food polymers were shipped in February 2015. After the talks the sides signed a supplement to this contract to deliver 500 tonnes of food polymers made by OAO Mogilevkhimvolokno in May.

The press release of the press service also reads that the sides have reached an agreement to provide exclusive dealer service rights for the products of OAO Belshina to the Serbian company Markovski Kompani in Macedonia. “Belshina will purchase a pilot batch of the Serbian-made synthetic rubber for industrial tests. The company will resume the delivery of Belarusian tires for farm equipment to Serbia,” the specialists added.

Apart from that, Serbian consumers were interested in raising the delivery of Belarusian liquefied gas under the PBA trademark and the production of fractions (at Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft and OAO Mozyr Oil Refinery). There is also an agreement to increase the monthly delivery of high pressure polyethylene from 250 tonnes to 600 tonnes and base oil to 1,000 tonnes to Serbia.

At present Belarusian petrochemical companies export polyester, food polymers, automobile and agricultural ties, liquefied gas, high pressure polyethylene, base oils to Serbia.
