Belarusian manufacturers to participate in Syria’s largest expo

MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) – Belarusian companies will take part in the 61st Damascus International Fair, which will take place on 28 August – 6 September, BelTA learned from the BelInterExpo enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Belarusian tractor manufacturer MTZ will present tractors with engines with the output of 35-355hp, tractors fitted with air conditioning, GPS navigation, and cooling systems, which allow the tractor to operate with air temperatures as high as 50C. The Belarusian automaker MAZ will demonstrate heavy trucks, including truck tractors and off-road dump trucks. Mogilevliftmash will present passenger lifts with smooth action, vandal-proof controls and cabin movement indicators as well as freight lifts with rugged cabins and microprocessor-based controls. New-generation medications designed to treat oncological, cardiovascular, and endocrine diseases and tuberculosis will be presented by Belmedpreparaty. The international R&D company NatiVita will demonstrate samples of medications designed to treat cancerous diseases.

The Belarusian exposition is nearly ready, however, Belarusian companies are free to submit their participation applications through 9 August.

The Belarusian exposition has been organized by BelInterExpo with assistance of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Industry Ministry, the Healthcare Ministry, and the Agriculture and Food Ministry. The exposition is timed to the seventh session of the Belarus-Syria commission on trade, economic, and technical cooperation, which is scheduled for 29-30 August.

The Damascus International Fair has been held since 1954. It is the most significant exhibition event in Syria. Last year’s fair gathered some 1,700 companies from 50 countries. National expositions were arranged by Belarus, Bulgaria, India, Iran, China, Russia, and Czechia. The fair attracted over 100,000 people.

This year BelInterExpo intends to arrange over 40 exhibitions and expositions in 25 countries across the globe, including Azerbaijan, Angola, Argentina, Bulgaria, the UK, Germany, Georgia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Qatar, China, Cuba, Mongolia, Nigeria, the UAE, Poland, and Russia.
