Belarusian manufacturers to be featured in textile expo in Uzbekistan

MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) - Belarusian light industry enterprises will showcase their products in Uzbekistan, BelTA learned from Bellegprom’s press secretary Marina Vaskevich.

Speaking at the Uzbekistan Textile Conference, the head of the Belarusian light industry concern Bellegprom Tatiana Lugina noted: "Uzbekistan is a priority partner country for Belarus. based on the principles of friendship and high trust, Belarusian-Uzbek trade and economic cooperation has been growing. Cooperation with partners from this country is extremely important and interesting for us. There is a potential to step up supplies of popular products to Uzbekistan. These are fabrics (primarily worsted, linen, synthetic and artificial with various properties), various types of yarn, pile cloths, corset and hosiery, etc.”

According to her, taking into account the intensive development of the garment industry in Uzbekistan, the largest Belarusian textile enterprises Kamvol, Orsha Linen Mill and Mogotex can offer a wide range of fabrics for various purposes that meet the latest trends and most discerning requirements.

The Uzbekistan Textile Conference has brought together representatives of the textile and fashion industries to discuss the new trends and challenges. Heads of international textiles and fashion companies, national textile associations, heads of large retail companies and international clothing brands, editors-in-chief of media outlets, domestic companies and investors have been invited to the conference.

Tatiana Lugina is scheduled to meet with the heads of Uztekstilprom, Uzcharmsanoat, the Kyrgyz Association of Light Industry Enterprises, and Uzbekistan Association of Business Women Tadbirkor Ayol.

The 4th edition of the international exhibition of textile and fashion industry UzTextileExpo Spring 2022 will open on 27 April. Belarus will be represented by  Bellegprom’s three companies: Orsha Linen Mill (linen fabrics, home textiles made of linen), Mogotex (mixed fabrics, technical and home textiles), Kamvol (woolen and semi-woolen fabrics and products).

Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry will be also featured in UzTextileExpo Spring 2022. Five enterprises will showcase artificial and chemical fibers for the production of textiles, technical textiles for the construction industry, polymer products, chemicals and fertilizers for agriculture, fiberglass and much more.

All in all, the expo will feature more than 120 companies and brands from nine countries, including Germany, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Belarus, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
