MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Communications and Informatization Kirill Zalesky spoke about the prospects for cooperation with Saudi Arabia during the opening of the Belarusian-Saudi ICT business forum in Riyadh at the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry with organizational support from the Belarusian Hi-Tech Park (HTP) Supervisory Board Secretariat and the Belarusian National Center for Marketing and Price Study, the Belarusian Ministry of Communications and Informatization told BelTA.
The event was attended by representatives of 14 resident companies of the Belarusian HTP, as well as more than 50 representatives of official and business circles of Saudi Arabia.
Opening the forum, Kirill Zalesky emphasized the strategic alignment of interests between the two parties. “The Belarusian IT sector, which has an impeccable reputation on the global market, is seeking new growth drivers. Saudi Arabia, actively implementing its digital transformation program within the Saudi Vision 2030 strategy, is an ideal partner. Our companies are eager to offer ready-made, proven solutions in telecommunications, e-government, smart cities, and financial technologies,” the minister stated.
Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry Hassan al-Huwaizi welcomed the Belarusian delegation to Riyadh and noted the importance of personal meetings between Belarusian and Saudi partners for advancing joint projects.
Before the start of the B2B negotiation session, Kirill Zalesky provided Saudi colleagues with a detailed account of the history, achievements, and unique business model of the HTP, which has become home to hundreds of innovative companies.
The major part of the forum was dedicated to direct business meetings. Belarusian IT companies held negotiations with potential clients, investors, and localization partners, discussing projects and opportunities for entering the market of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
