Belarusian industrial enterprises to get Russian oil products without restrictions

Belarusian industrial enterprises to get Russian oil products without restrictions

MOGILEV, 26 September (BelTA) – Russia will supply oil products to Belarusian industrial enterprises without restrictions within the framework of the indicative balance sheets signed by the two countries, BelTA learned from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Mikhail Babich. The ambassador was in Mogilev on 26 September on a working trip.

The diplomat said: “There is a number of oil products, which the development of various branches of the Belarusian production sector requires. The relevant negotiations are nearly over. We only have to determine the final consumption figures. There is no doubt that the necessary volume of oil products, which the industrial enterprises need for development purposes, will be supplied without restrictions. It is particularly true for the enterprises, which are vigorously developing. An agreement has been reached to increase the delivery of oil products to petrochemical enterprises by 10-15%.”

The oil products will be delivered in line with the signed indicative balance sheets, which have to be approved every year. “More than that, the agreement stipulates a procedure, which can be used to revise the balance figures if an increase in the consumption of oil products is justified,” added Mikhail Babich.

“As far as the price for natural gas is concerned, we’ve agreed on one for 2018 and for 2019. In line with the agreement the sides have signed the price will stay in place as well as compensatory mechanisms. No changes will happen in this regard. All the disbursements specified by the agreement will be made,” said the ambassador.
