Belarusian Gomselmash exports 270 harvesters, machines sets in Q1

GOMEL, 24 April (BelTA) - The Belarusian manufacturer of agricultural machines Gomselmash exported more than 270 self-propelled harvesters and machine sets in Q1 2020, BelTA learned from the Gomselmash press service.

“All in all, the company shipped more than 400 units of equipment to consumers in Q1,” said Viktor Slavastevich, the first deputy director general– director for sales and development at Gomselmash. Te company shipped 278 self-propelled harvesters and sets of machinery to Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Moldova. A total of 136 units were sent to Belarusian farms.

"All in all, shippings increased by 373% in Q1 over the same period of 2019,” the company said. The company met other targets, including the revenue side of the balance of payments,.

The Belarusian holding company Gomselmash is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machines. It is one of the leaders on the world market of harvesters and other sophisticated agricultural machines. The company uses the Palesse trademark to market the lineups of grain and forage harvesters, ear corn harvesters, potato harvesters, mowers, and other agricultural machines. Palesse harvesters are used in fields of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Czechia, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Argentina, Brazil, China, South Korea, and Baltic states. Gomselmash operates an extensive distribution chain, joint ventures, and assembly enterprises.
