Belarusian furniture manufacturers to take part in Mebel 2017 expo in Moscow

MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) - Companies affiliated with Bellesbumprom Concern will present the Belarusian furniture industry at Mebel 2017, the largest annual furniture show and the main industry event in Russia and Eastern Europe, BelTA learned from the press service of Bellesbumprom Concern.

These will be Belarus’ major manufacturers and exporters: Pinskdrev Holding Company, Molodechnomebel, Bobruiskmebel, ZOV-Lenevromebel, Gomel Furniture Factory Progress, Gomeldrev and Rechitsadrev. Representatives of the Belarusian furniture companies will participate in the business program of the exhibition.

The program includes a roundtable on the prospects for the production and export of furniture, the 15th forum of directors “Furniture as Business”. It is the largest business event in the furniture industry which involves more than 150 delegates: managers, dealers, retailers and salons from 80 cities of Russia, the CIS, Europe and Asia. The 12th national awards ceremony in the field of industrial furniture design “Russian Cabriole” and other events will be held during the Mebel 2017 expo.

Russia is the major sales market for Bellesbumprom Concern. Russia accounts for 65% of Belarus’ furniture exports to the CIS. In January-September 2017 Bellesbumprom exported products worth $108.4 million, up 42% over the same period last year.

Furniture 2017 will be held at the Expocenter in Moscow on 21-24 November. The total exhibition area is more than 72,000 square meters. The event will feature 735 exhibitors from 28 countries. Every year the exhibition draws more than 40,500 visitors.
