Belarusian food producers take part in UzFood expo in Uzbekistan

MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) - The exhibition "Belarus - Taste of Nature" is running at the UzFood international expo in Tashkent. The exhibition is featuring seven Belarusian food industry enterprises, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition company at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).

The holding company "Concern Brestmyasomolprom" and its subordinate enterprises Luninets Dairy Plant and Kobrin Butter and Cheese Factory are presenting their advanced developments. Babushkina Krynka Dairy is showcasing new types of cheese with natural fillings. The companies of this holding company process 85% of the milk produced in Mogilev Oblast - more than 72,000 tonnes per month and post monthly dairy output at more than 60,000 tonnes.

In Tashkent Volkovysk Meat Processing Plant Beef is displaying beef and by-products, sausages and semi-finished products. Grodno Meat Processing Plant has brought raw sausage made to the Italian recipes and also raw smoked sausage with prunes.

The exhibition "Belarus - Taste of Nature" is also showcasing equipment for the food and processing industry from OAO Brestmash.

The Belarusian exhibition has been attended by Belarusian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich, Turkish Ambassador to Uzbekistan Olgan Bekar,  Uzbekistan Deputy Agriculture Minister Alisher Turayev, Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Association Uzbekozikovkatzakhira Nigmat Akhmedzhanov and CEO Nigor Khasanov of Iteca Exhibitions, the organizer of the exhibition UzFood.

A number of congress and business events are planned as part of the UzFood exhibition. A retail center will host meetings between food producers and buyers and retailers from Uzbekistan and other countries taking part in the exhibition.

The organizer of the exhibition "Belarus - Taste of Nature" is the Belinterexpo exhibition company at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

UzFood is Uzbekistan's largest food exhibition. This year it has brought together more than 150 companies from 26 countries. The exhibition will be running till 30 April.
