MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) – The Belarusian engine manufacturing company MMZ signed export contracts during the 11th international industry expo Innoprom, which took place in Yekaterinburg, Russia on 5-8 July, the MMZ press service told BelTA.

MMZ’s products displayed at the collective stand of the Belarusian mechanical engineering industry were hugely popular. Not only regular visitors but also high-ranking officials showed their interest in them. Belarusian Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik and Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov visited the MMZ exposition. The ministers examined the products on display. They paid close attention to the three-cylinder small-power MMZ-3LD engine. MMZ specialists also welcomed guests from non-CIS states.

Virtually all the customers noted that MMZ offers a good value for money. Careful attention to clients’ needs and the eagerness to satisfy them as fast as possible are also among MMZ’s advantages.

Visitors came up with concrete proposals on a broad spectrum of possible cooperation options. MMZ Director General Aleksandr Rogozhnik often took part in the negotiations.

MMZ was asked to slightly adjust the location of some parts of the engine. The Izhevsk-based company intends to buy more engines once the design solutions are implemented.

A Sverdlovsk-based company that makes welding equipment is another long-term partner of MMZ. The company buys D-242 engines paired with a Russian fuel pump. The company would like the engines paired with Czech fuel equipment. A pilot batch of the diesel engines will be shipped for testing.

MMZ and a company based in the city of Kurgan discussed the new promising engine MMZ-4DTI.

An Algerian company showed interest in industrial engines made by MMZ. A Slovenian company makes bulldozers and said it was ready to consider buying 300hp D-262S2 engines from MMZ.

According to the MMZ press service, other business meetings with existing partners and potential ones took place. Now the Belarusian company has to take a closer look at the customers’ requests and discuss technical aspects. The agreements reached during Innoprom confirm serious intentions of all the parties to advance tight cooperation and sell Belarusian engines in bulk.
