MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – Belarusian dairy products were exported to 55 countries in 2025, Natalya Gushcha, Deputy Head of the Meat and Dairy Industry Department of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry, said at the press conference “Belarusian dairy products: Technology, benefits, and potential for the modern diet”, BelTA has learned.

“Work is currently underway to diversify export markets. We are focusing not only on the Russian Federation as the main importer but also on other regions, including distant countries. We plan to further increase export supplies so that Belarusian dairy products become recognizable in every corner of the world,” Natalya Gushcha noted.

She recalled that Belarus has approved the Strategy for the Development of the Dairy Processing Industry for 2026-2035. It provides for expanding processing capacities and broadening the product range. The projects include modernization, technical upgrades, and the development of innovative, import-substituting products.

“Dairy production in Belarus is almost three times higher than domestic consumption. A large share of products is exported,” Natalya Gushcha said. “By 2035, we expect to see entirely new types of production, for example, lactoferrin manufacturing. Output of whey and milk protein concentrates will increase, as well as various packaging formats (both in volume and materials).”

New high-protein products will also appear. Such items are becoming increasingly common on store shelves and are aimed at consumers who prioritize healthy lifestyles. The market already offers not only protein bars but also high-protein dairy shakes.
