Belarusian companies urged to advance cooperation with Chinese partners

MINSK, 18 July (BelTA) – Belarusian companies should step up efforts to advance cooperation with Chinese partners, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Kirill Rudy said in an interview with Belarusian TV channels on 17 July, BelTA has learned.

The Ambassador believes that it is essential to build production chains with Chinese partners. Speaking about the inflow of Chinese investments to Belarus, Ambassador Kirill Rudy said about the preparation of amendments to the decree concerning the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park. According to the Ambassador, innovations will be used to raise the investment attractiveness of the Great Stone industrial park. The Belarusian side, in turn, expects that the incentives and preferences of the industrial park will encourage investors to transfer technologies to Belarus.

Speaking about the planned visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to China, the diplomat remarked that every visit of this kind is a historical chance. At the same time, he deems it necessary to enhance cooperation without waiting for the meetings at the level of the heads of state. According to the Ambassador, regional interaction has a huge potential. “Figuratively speaking, this visit could be a thread of pearls connecting the results of work of all our regions, all their achievements of recent years,” Ambassador Kirill Rudy said.

The diplomat also mentioned great prospects in the development of the Belarusian-Chinese cooperation in tourism.
