MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) - Enterprises affiliated with the Belarusian light industry concern Bellegprom will increase their presence in the market of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia, BelTA learned from Bellegrom spokeswoman Marina Vaskevich following the visit of the Belarusian business delegation led by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko to the Russian region.

Orsha Linen Mill will supply raw materials and fabrics to its Nizhny Novgorod counterparts: the Belarusian textile giant has signed a cooperation agreement with Pervaya Tkatskaya Fabrika, which is developing weaving production near Nizhny Novgorod.

The Russian company plans to receive Belarusian raw materials, linen thread, linen cloth, from which it will produce both finished products and give them finishing to be sent to clothing and furniture making companies in Russia. The amount of supplies from Belarus will be determined after market research and preliminary orders.

Speaking about the work on the Russian market, Orsha Linen Mill Director General Vladimir Nesterenko said that the enterprise has been supplying products to Russia for many years, but so far “we have reached the Urals”. “We understand that Urals is still only a quarter of Russia. Therefore, the potential is huge. The most important thing in business is to find a reliable partner. Pervaya Tkatskaya Fabrika can be such a partner for us. Today everyone has their competitive advantages in cooperation: some - raw materials, others - production, sales markets. With decent partnership work, I think that in cooperation you can always achieve greater results than on your own,” he said.

Dobrush Porcelain Factory will also increase its presence on the market of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. Dobrush Porcelain Factory Director Aleksandr Vinokurov said: “During the visit we reached agreements to expand the range of supplies and to increase the amount of purchases of Belarusian porcelain with a year-on-year growth of at least 105%. This shows that Belarusian companies are seen as reliable partners and appreciate the quality of our products.”
