Belarusian BelAZ to ship 12 haul trucks to Indonesia in November

MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ will ship 12 haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 55 tonnes to Indonesia in November, representatives of the company’s marketing department told BelTA.

The BelAZ 7555V haul trucks will be delivered to the Indonesian heavy equipment rental company PT Tritama Niaga Berjaya. It is the first batch of Belarusian haul trucks the company will get. The trucks will be used to haul overburden rock at a coal mining pit not far from the city of Lahat in the South Sumatra province.

Representatives of the Indonesian company visited the Belarusian automaker to inspect the trucks before shipment. The sides discussed technical and commercial aspects of cooperation. Representatives of the Indonesian company also drove a 130 tonne haul truck as a test and expressed interest in buying such vehicles.

BelAZ started selling haul trucks to Indonesia in 2012, shipping 45 tonne and 55 tonne trucks initially. BelAZ shipped 110 tonne trucks in 2016 and 130 tonne trucks in spring 2018. BelAZ’s interests in Southeast Asia have been represented by the dealership Belazia PTE LTD since 2011. A total of 66 BelAZ trucks have been shipped to Indonesia.

Based in Zhodino, Minsk Oblast, the public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the world’s leading manufacturer of haul trucks with a large carrying capacity and an extremely large carrying capacity. The company also makes other kinds of heavy transport vehicles for the mining industry and the civil engineering industry.
