NOVOSIBIRSK, 27 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian heavy truck manufacturer BelAZ and the electric motors manufacturer OOO Sibelektroprivod signed an agreement on strategic partnership in Novosibirsk on 27 September, BelTA has learned.

The two companies will continue working together as part of the joint project aimed at creating an electric traction drive for BelAZ dump trucks with the carrying capacity of 90 tonnes.

Apart from that, the sides confirmed their readiness to expand cooperation and use Sibelektroprivod products for BelAZ trucks, which are intended for difficult climates and geographically remote countries such as India, Indonesia, Mongolia, and other ones.

OOO Sibelektroprivod is the largest manufacturer of medium-capacity electric traction drives such as motors and generators for haul trucks and diesel-electric tractors, motors for commuter trains, metro cars, and special vehicles. The main customers are BelAZ, the locomotive manufacturer Sinara – Transport Machines, and the transport vehicles manufacturer Mytishchi Machine-Building Plant. A project has been implemented together with BelAZ in order to sell dump trucks to Indonesia.

The public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the managing company of the holding company BelAZ. BelAZ is the world’s top manufacturer of haul trucks with a large carrying capacity and an extremely large carrying capacity as well as other heavy transport equipment used in the mining industry and the civil engineering industry.
