Belarusian BelAZ showcases innovative solutions at business week in Russia’s Ufa

MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) - The Belarusian heavy truck manufacturer BelAZ showcased its products and innovative solutions at the international business week in Ufa, the capital of Bashkortostan, Russia, BelTA learned from the BelAZ press service.

Aleksei Moroz, the head of the department for promotion of underground and road-building vehicles at BelAZ, made a presentation during the session "Bashkortostan - Belarus: Potential of industrial cooperation".

"Major consumers of our equipment are mining enterprises of the Russian Federation. As of December 2022, 85% of the total volume of shipments went to Russia,” he stressed. Following the global environmental trends, BelAZ is implementing several projects to manufacture rock haulers powered by batteries and running on gas engine fuel. The use of "green" dump trucks will allow mining enterprises to save on differences in the prices for fuel and electricity, expenses on maintenance and fuels and lubricants."

The forum discussed ways of promoting promoting industrial cooperation between enterprises of Bashkortostan and Belarus. The participants of the session from Bashkortostan expressed interest in the purchase of Belarusian machines and vehicles. This year the business week in Ufa brought together about 3,000 participants and almost 500 speakers from 24 countries.

The public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the managing company of the holding company BelAZ. BelAZ is the world's largest manufacturer of haul trucks and transport equipment for the mining industry and the civil engineering industry. BelAZ occupies about 30% of the world market of haul trucks with an extremely large carrying capacity. The company makes the world's largest haul truck with the carrying capacity of 450 tonnes.
