The second batch includes eight trucks with a carrying capacity of 136 tonnes. The first batch of BelAZ haul trucks was shipped to India in January. They are currently being assembled. The vehicles are part of a major contract for the delivery of 77 haul trucks. BelAZ and Coal India Limited signed the contract in October 2019.

The construction of a maintenance center for Belarusian trucks continues in the immediate vicinity of the Gevra coal mine, where Belarusian BelAZ haul trucks will be used. The fence has already been placed. The territory layout has been completed. Design documentation has been issued and the construction of buildings has been launched. According to the agreements with India, BelAZ will supply spare parts and provide eight-year maintenance services.

Haul trucks of the 7513 series are popular with mining companies all over the world. The model accounted for 27% of the total number of BelAZ vehicles sold in 2019.

The state-run company Coal India Limited accounts for 81% of coal mining in India and is the world’s second largest coal mining company. Over 500 million tonnes of coal is mined in India every year. The Indian government wants 1 billion tonnes of coal mined every year by 2025.
