Belarusian BelAZ ships heavy-duty truck to Russian steel mill

MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – A heavy-duty truck made by the Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ has been delivered to the electric steel mill OEMK, which is based in Stary Oskol, Belgorod Oblast, Russia, the press service of the Belarusian company told BelTA.

According to the source, the BelAZ-79211 truck is a new product in the lineup of utility vehicles made for the Russian company. The truck is designed for convenient and safe handling on premises of a steel mill: seven axles and 28 massive highly elastic tires, which do not require maintenance and boast a lengthy lifespan. The vehicle also boasts a Cummins engine, a hydrobalance suspension based on trailing arms, which allow adjusting the height of the platform, modern systems for braking, firefighting, and automatic lubrication.

The heavy-duty truck has two driver’s cabs. It can move in confined places like a shuttle without having to turn around. Both cabs are comfortable, equipped with an air conditioning system, a protective screen, and meet noise, vibration, and air dust standards.

A BelAZ-79211 heavy-duty truck can carry 150 tonnes of freight. It will be used to transport large-sized technological cargoes.

The public joint-stock company (OAO) BelAZ is the managing company of the holding company BelAZ. BelAZ is the world's largest manufacturer of haul trucks and transport equipment for the mining industry and the civil engineering industry. BelAZ accounts for some 30% of the world market of haul trucks with an extremely large carrying capacity. The company makes the world's largest haul truck with the carrying capacity of 450 tonnes.
