The other day the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry delegation took part in the China International Import Expo. The Hongqiao International Economic and Trade Forum was held as part of the expo. During the forum Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats presented the export potential of Belarus’ agribusiness and its ability to sell products to China. In his words, the export of Belarusian agricultural products to China will reach $100 million this year. Belarusian food sells well in China. The expo in Shanghai has once again confirmed it. Aleksei Bogdanov said: “Our exposition, which represents the majority of Belarusian dairy and meat companies as well as bakeries, is very popular with regular visitors and representatives of companies.”
The Belarusian delegation went to Chongqing on 8 November to welcome the third train full of Belarusian dairy products. The train brought 41 containers weighing a total of 1,025 tonnes to China. According to Aleksei Bogdanov, work to put together the fourth train is already in progress. Plans have been made to start sending trains with Belarusian agricultural products to Chongqing every week soon.
According to the source, the Belarusian delegation also met with representatives of the Chongqing city administration. A contract was signed on selling dairy products to the Chinese-Belarusian company Sinoby Agriculture in 2019.
