Belarusbank signs loan agreement with OeKB

MINSK, 5 May (BelTA) – Oesterreichische Kontrollbank Aktiengesellschaft (OeKB) will provide Belarusbank a loan for financing of export/import transactions between Belarus and Austrian economic entities against the guarantees of the Ministry of Finance of Austria, BelTA learned from the press service of Belarusbank.

The agreement was signed by Chairman of the Board of Belarusbank Sergei Pisarik. The Austrian side was represented by Rudolf Scholten, Member of the Board of Executive Directors, and representatives of the OeKB relevant business units.

“Providing these guarantees attests to the high trust in our Bank's business reputation. For us, this agreement means reaching the new level of relations in the field of international business,” the press service quoted Sergei Pisarik as saying. In general, this agreement will further strengthen and promote cooperation between the two countries, Belarusbank believes.

Founded in 1946, Oesterreichische Kontrollbank Aktiengesellschaft (OeKB) is Austria's main provider of financial and information services to the export industry and the capital market. OeKB offers a wide range of specialized services to companies in all sectors, including financial institutions and Austrian government agencies.

Founded in 1922, Belarusbank is the biggest universal financial and credit establishment in Belarus. The bank takes an active part in state programs, investment projects, provides loans for the most important sectors of the industrial and agricultural manufacturing, social sphere. Customer service is a priority activity of the bank.
