Belarus’ vice premier outlines cooperation prospects with Udmurt Republic
MINSK, 21 November (BelTA) – Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik outlined cooperation prospects with the Udmurt Republic as he met with Head of the Udmurt Republic Aleksandr Brechalov, BelTA has learned.
Speaking about cooperation between Belarus and the Udmurt Republic, Piotr Parkhomchik first of all mentioned mechanical engineering, in particular, agricultural machinery. “This machinery has already been tried and tested and is widely used in the fields of Belarus. Last Sunday, our agricultural enterprises celebrated their professional holiday that they approached with good results. This suggests that the technologies and equipment used in our country are efficient,” the deputy prime minister said.
He also mentioned the automotive industry. “Everything we produce is tested and adapted at home, in Belarus, before it is sold abroad. There are many things we can offer: regular buses with internal combustion engines, and cars running on liquefied gas, electric buses, trolleybuses with autonomous run, trams. In this regard, Belarus is ready to provide the Udmurt Republic with all the necessary equipment,” the deputy prime minister added.
Another promising area of cooperation is machine tool engineering. “We have certain capacities and competencies, we are ready to cooperate in this field,” Piotr Parkhomchik said.
According to him, microelectronics also deserves consideration. “The company Planar manufactures components for microelectronics. Now it works in close collaboration with Russian organizations, and also supplies equipment to other countries,” he said.
As the deputy prime minister noted, Belarus and the Udmurt Republic can build mutually beneficial cooperation in agriculture and construction. Belarus can implement turnkey projects, it has the necessary experience for this.
“Cooperation between businesses is no less important. We should also keep exploring new cooperation opportunities. We believe that cooperation is a two-way street and the both parties should contribute to addressing complex tasks,” Piotr Parkhomchik added.
In turn, Head of the Udmurt Republic Aleksandr Brechalov noted that entrepreneurs of Belarus and the Udmurt Republic find areas of mutual interest and their collaboration helps make people’s lives better.
On 21 November Aleksandr Brechalov visited the Amkodor holding company where he studied equipment production. “We are not opening a new page, but continuing our active cooperation. A difficult time can be the time of opportunities. Now is the time of opportunities for our enterprises. After Western companies left the market, new niches have opened up, and businesses are taking advantage of this very quickly,” he emphasized.
