Belarus, Venezuela’s Mérida State sign trade, economic cooperation program

MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Venezuela Andrei Molchan visited Mérida State, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

During the visit, the ambassador met with Governor Arnaldo Javier Sánchez Pérez, representatives of the business community, and toured pharmaceutical enterprises. During meetings and negotiations, the parties touched upon strengthening cooperation between Belarus and Mérida State.

Special attention was paid to cooperation in pharmaceuticals, the supply of Belarusian agricultural machinery and equipment, and the purchase of Venezuelan food products.

Following the visit, the parties signed cooperation protocols and a trade and economic cooperation program with the government of Mérida State.
