Belarus, Uzbekistan intend to step up trade, investment

MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloev, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed a wide range of topics of the bilateral Belarusian-Uzbek political dialogue. The emphasis was made on the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, the intensification of cooperation in education, medicine, cultural and humanitarian affairs, the development of inter-parliamentary relations and inter-regional contacts, and interaction within the framework of multilateral international organizations. Plans were outlined for the upcoming joint events and meetings.

The parties welcomed the positive dynamics in trade and economic cooperation, expressed interest in further increasing mutual trade and implementing joint Belarusian-Uzbek investment projects.
