MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Belarus and Turkey have signed an action plan to boost cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the Economy Ministry told BelTA following the third meeting of the Belarusian-Turkish working group on SME promotion, which took place in Ankara on 15-16 April.
The parties laid out business and investment opportunities of Belarus and Turkey, discussed the steps to develop cooperation between SMEs and considered proposals for joint investment projects.
The parties signed the final protocol and an action plan to promote SME cooperation. An agreement was reached to continue exchanging investment proposals and plans regarding exhibition events and days of economy, and to assist the participation of Belarusian and Turkish entrepreneurs in these activities.
The plan also envisages the provision of expert consultations on ways to improve state support of small and medium-sized businesses. The parties will organize joint training courses on the best practices in business reforms for representatives of government and business community and new forms of cooperation between organizations of non-state sector of the economy.
