MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – A Belarusian-Turkish seminar on manufacturing cooperation and sharing the experience in the area of production and distribution of automobiles and automobile components is taking place in the Turkish industrial cities of Bursa and Gebze on 2-3 October, representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in Turkey told BelTA.
The Belarusian delegation includes representatives of ten major industrial groups and companies that make vehicles and the products the automobile industry needs, including BelAZ, Amkodor, Belkommunmash, BATE, Minsk Electrotechnical Plant, Borisov Aggregates Plant (BZA).
The seminar will feature presentations of Belarusian and Turkish companies, negotiations within the framework of a business matchmaking session in the automotive industry exporters association Uludag, visits to enterprises to share the best practices of organizing the manufacturing process and selling ready-made products. Participants of the seminar are expected to take a close look at prospects of manufacturing cooperation between Belarusian and Turkish companies and the joint integration into international supply chains. Cluster cooperation of automobile industry companies will be discussed, too.
The seminar has been organized with assistance of the Embassy of Belarus in Turkey in association with the automotive industry exporters association Uludag within the framework of a UNIDO project on automobile production.
The automotive industry producers and exporters association Uludag was established in 1992. It unites the largest Turkish automobile industry companies. The association includes some 4,700 manufacturers and exporters of automobiles and components. In 2017 the association members exported about $30 billion worth of merchandise.
