Belarus to showcase investment capacities at Great Stone forum

MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) – Belarus Economy Minister Dmitry Krutoi and China Commerce Minister Zhong Shan signed a concept on the regional development and cooperation forum within the Belt and Road initiative that will take place in the Chine-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 2 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry.

The document contains key aspects of joint work with China to prepare for and hold this international forum. Its major theme is the Great Stone Industrial Park – Global Opportunities. The program will include the opening ceremony, a plenary session and four panel sections. The forum will cover doing business issues, Belarus’ investment climate, advantages from the implementation of promising investment projects in the country. The forum will also provide an opportunity to share ideas, views and proposals to promote cooperation within the Belt and Road initiative through the help of the industrial park.  

Ahead of the supreme-level meetings the Belarusian economy ministry signed an agreement on China’s technical and economic assistance. The agreement envisages the implementation of the “National Football Stadium” and “Swimming Pool of International Standard” projects, supplies of equipment for the State Customs Committee and others.
