Belarus to highlight Great Stone industrial park advantages during China International Import Expo

MINSK, 11 July (BelTA) – Advantages of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone will be broadly presented as part of Belarus’ national exposition during the China International Import Expo in Shanghai on 5-10 November, BelTA learned from Valery Sadokho, Director of the National Marketing Center of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the presentation of Belarus’ national exposition in the Chinese embassy on 11 July.

Valery Sadokho said: “There is no doubt that the national ornamental design is one of the key symbols of Belarus and the cornflower is a key part of the ornamental design. It will be broadly utilized, including using modern technologies, in the pavilion’s design. Using national symbols to create the image of the national pavilion for the international expo in Shanghai, we say that Belarusians are a modern nation, which carefully preserves its cultural traditions. This approach is topical in China, too. It is very important that both nations preserve national traditions in addition to striving for all things new.”

The director of the National Marketing Center of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spoke at length about the layout of the Belarusian pavilion. In particular, the presentation part will feature a stage and a video wall. The folk song company Kupalinka is expected to perform on the stage. Belarusian painters will arrange master classes there. Events dedicated to sport, tourism, education, investment potential, science and innovations will be held on a daily basis there.

Part of the pavilion will be dedicated to presenting Belarus’ export potential. There are plans to dedicate areas to the demonstration of R&D products, the education potential, tourism opportunities, and the capital city.

Apart from the traditional logo used for national expositions abroad – Made in Belarus – there are plans to work out a slogan to reflect the warm and friendly relations between Belarus and China.

Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Dapkiunas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming, representatives of Belarusian government agencies, concerns, and a number of agricultural and industrial companies took part in the presentation in the Chinese embassy. The presentation was arranged upon Andrei Dapkiunas’ initiative.
