MINSK, 22 August (BelTA) – A national exposition of Belarus will be arranged at the Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City) on 5-8 December, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This year Belarus was granted a guest of honor status. The national exposition will showcase agricultural and utility vehicles, a broad assortment of chemical and petrochemical products, R&D solutions, new medicines, foodstuffs and beverages.

Participation in the trade fair was confirmed by over 25 Belarusian companies, including MAZ, MTZ, Belshina, Borisov Pharmaceutical Plant, Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Volkovysk Meat-Packing Plant, Kommunarka, and Krasny Pishchevik confectionary. BelAZ will hold a VR presentation of innovative models of dump trucks with the lifting capacity of 110 tonnes and 130 tonnes. These machines are designed to operate in difficult mining and climatic conditions.

The Vietnam Expo in Ho Chi Minh City is one of the biggest trade and economic expos in Southeast Asia. In 2017 it brought together over 750 companies from 16 countries and drew 12,000 visitors. “Such an interest can be explained by the fact that today Vietnam is not only a growing consumer market of over 92 million people, but also a trade gate into Southeast Asia. Over half of Vietnam’s population is engaged in agriculture; therefore, tractors, trucks, tires and component part are in demand there. The country promises even more opportunities for global exporters of foodstuffs,” Belinterexpo said.

The national exposition will be arranged by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the auspices of the Belarusian Embassy in Vietnam and the Belinterexpo exhibition company.
