The forum will provide ample opportunities to find new partners and potential investors, exchange best practices of doing business, create prerequisites for the intensification of the interaction between Belarus and Finland in the areas of mutual interest.

In line with the government’s decision, Bellesbumprom supervises the Belarusian-Finnish trade and economic relations. The Belarusian embassy in Finland has made considerable contribution to the export growth between the countries. The export of Belarusian goods to Finland rose 18.2% in 2017 from 2016 to reach $19.5 million.

The Finnish market is of big interest to Belarusian timber companies. Despite being one of the European leading forestry states, Finland imports woodworking products from other countries. Bellesbumprom, in cooperation with the Belarusian embassy in Finland, is currently busy establishing business contacts with Finnish companies. The first batch of wood boards worth $27,000 has already been shipped to Finland as a result of bilateral agreements.
