Belarus, Swiss Joint Chamber of Commerce sign memorandum of cooperation

MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – The National Agency of Investment and Privatization (NAIP) of Belarus has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Joint Chamber of Commerce (JCC) of Switzerland. The signing ceremony took place during Belarus-Switzerland business forum “Doing Business in Belarus: Opportunities for Swiss Companies” in Geneva, BelTA learned from the website of the Economy Ministry.

The memorandum is aimed at facilitating cooperation in investment and innovation, creating a favorable investment environment and enhancing the investment appeal.

The forum brought together about 50 Swiss manufacturing companies, investment funds and banks. The forum sought to promote Belarus as a reliable partner and a comfortable venue for selling European Union products and services in the East. The forum also aimed at raising western investment to build up production capacities of Belarus and improving the country’s transport and logistics infrastructure.
