Belarus suspends payments to companies from unfriendly states

MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – On 7 April Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 137 “On enforcement documents”, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.

The document is aimed at preventing resident copmanies from foreign states that  make unfriendly moves against Belarusian legal entities or individuals from writing off money from accounts of domestic economic entities.

The decree suspends the enforcement of enforcement documents issued in favor of such resident companies. In addition, banks and other financial organizations shall refuse to accept payment claims submitted by these resident companies on their own under enforcement documents without the payer’s acceptance.
