Belarus, Serbia keen to strengthen relations

MINSK, 12 July (BelTA) – A Belarusian delegation headed by Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Artur Karpovich visited Serbia on 11 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART).

At a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, the head of the Belarusian delegation assured the Serbia leadership and people of economic support, in terms of increasing the supplies of passenger and utility vehicles, dump trucks, emergency vehicles, food and setting up new innovative manufactures and also of political support.

During the visit, the intergovernmental Belarusian-Serbian commission on trade and economic cooperation convened for the 12th meeting.

Following the meeting the parties signed a protocol and a roadmap that will help raise the Belarusian-Serbian relations to a new level.

In addition, meetings were held with Serbian Prime Minister Djuro Macut and representatives of large Serbian business to discuss a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including the supply of Belarusian goods to the market of Serbia and the countries of the Balkan region.

Members of the Belarusian delegation laid flowers in the Liberators of Belgrade memorial; Artur Karpovich left an entry in the book of distinguished guests.
