Belarus seeks to enhance industrial cooperation with Sudan

MINSK, 29 May (BelTA) - Belarus is keen to strengthen its industrial cooperation with Sudan, Belarusian First Deputy Industry Minister Andrei Konyushko said during a meeting with a Sudanese delegation led by Energy and Oil Minister Mohieddin Naeem Mohamed Saeed, the press service of the Belarusian Industry Ministry told BelTA.

Andrei Konyushko highlighted the steady progress in industrial cooperation between the two countries, noting that the main exports to Sudan consist of agricultural machinery.

He also expressed interest in expanding the industrial dialogue between the two countries and offered support to implement joint projects. For this purpose, he invited Sudanese representatives to visit Belarusian industrial enterprises to explore the range of manufactured products and specific commercial proposals.

“The Republic of Belarus is systematically building cooperation with African countries, including Sudan, and is ready to continue this work. I am confident that we can achieve more significant results and reach a new level of bilateral industrial cooperation," Andrei Konyushko emphasized.

In turn, Mohieddin Naeem Mohamed Saeed pointed out the friendly nature of relations between the two countries and confirmed Sudan's intentions to strengthen interaction. He identified promising areas of cooperation: the establishment of assembly plants and the exchange of experience in professional development and retraining.

Following the negotiations, the parties expressed confidence that the meeting will give fresh momentum for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation and facilitate the establishment of productive contacts in the interest of both countries.
