MINSK, 20 October (BelTA) - Business communities of Belarus and Russia’s Mordovia will sign contracts totaling over RUB300 million, Sergei Nabeshko, Director General of the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) told the media ahead of business talks between representatives of Belarusian and Mordovian enterprises and organizations, BelTA has learned.
Sergei Nabeshko recalled the visit of a Belarusian delegation to Mordovia in 2023 and noted the attention and sincere involvement shown by the Russian region in developing cooperation with Belarus. “Systematic and purposeful work allows us to build new avenues, elevate our interaction to a new level, and strengthen business relations,” he emphasized.
The business delegation included heads of leading enterprises from Mordovia, representing a wide range of industries. Business communities of the Russian region have expressed interest in establishing and actively developing fruitful cooperation with Belarusian manufacturers, suppliers, and companies in key areas such as electronics, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, as well as innovative scientific, technical, and IT solutions.
According to Sergei Nabeshko, the delegation from the Republic of Mordovia is also set to visit a number of Belarusian enterprises tomorrow. “I am confident that all this work will lead to the necessary results. I can already say that the preparation for this event alone has led to the signing of major contracts worth over RUB300 million,” he stressed.
The working group on cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Mordovia of the Russian Federation held a meeting to review issues of cooperation. The main topics of discussion were the development of the industrial sector and agricultural corporations, the healthcare sector, with special attention paid to discussing joint events for the development of youth and patriotic movements between Belarus and Mordovia.
