Belarus, Russia’s Krasnodar Territory discuss cooperation projects

MOSCOW, 21 December (BelTA) - A Belarusian delegation headed by Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoi is visiting Krasnodar Territory of Russia on 21 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the diplomatic mission.
"The delegation includes representatives of the Industry Ministry, the Construction and Architecture Ministry, the Agriculture and Food Ministry and a number of mechanical engineering companies.
"Ambassador Dmitry Krutoi met with Governor of Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev. The main focus of the talks was on the agreements reached during the recent visit of Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko to the region. The parties examined the prospects for cooperation in industry, agriculture, construction, housing and utilities services (supply of elevators, waste processing and water treatment technologies). Particular attention was paid to the ways of intensifying cooperation and mutual support in order to meet the import substitution targets," the diplomatic mission said.
When discussing the areas of cooperation, the ambassador shared with the governor his impressions of the recent meeting between the presidents of Belarus and Russia, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin. “The leaders of Belarus and Russia agreed that it was the industry that was dealt the main sanction blow. direct sanctions have been imposed on half of the industries . If we do not ensure the survival of this segment, there will be nothing further to talk about. Therefore, the heads of state demanded that we focus on cooperative import-substituting projects in the industry," Ambassador Dmitry Krutoi noted.
"Representatives of the government bodies and enterprises of Belarus held fruitful negotiations with the vice governor, the Minister of Agriculture and Manufacturing, the leadership of the Construction Department of Krasnodar Territory," the press service added.
The Belarusian delegation is also set to visit the production site of Corporation AK Elektrosevkavmontazh and a number of other facilities in the region.
