Belarus reduces export duties on oil, petroleum products on 1 January

MINSK, 2 January (BelTA) – On 1 January 2019 Belarus reduced export duties on oil and petroleum products that are exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. This decision was formalized by Council of Ministers’ Resolution No. 960 as of 28 December 2018, BelTA has learned from the website of the government.

The export duty on crude oil was reduced from $135.1 to $89 per 1 tonne. The duty on straight-run gasoline dropped from $74.3 to $48.9 per 1 tonne. The duty on commercial gasoline went down from $40.5 to $26.7 per 1 tonne.

The export duty on light and medium distillates made up $26.7 per 1 tonne instead of $40.5. The same rate applied to diesel fuel, benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants, and other oils.

The export duties on crude oil and some categories of derivative oil products were previously revised downwards on 1 December.
