Belarus reduces export duties on oil, oil products

MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – On 1 April Belarus reduced customs duties on oil and petroleum products, which are exported beyond the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The decision is laid down in the Council of Ministers’ Resolution No.188 of 31 March 2020, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The export duty on crude oil went from $66.9 down to $52 per tonne. The export duty on straight-run gasoline dropped from $36.7 to $28.6 per tonne. The export duty on commercial gasoline, light and medium distillates is now $15.6 per tonne, down from $20. The same rate now applies to diesel fuel, benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants, and other oils.

The export duties on crude oil and some categories of derivative oil products were previously revised downwards on 1 March.
