Belarus posts strongest third-country export growth in the EAEU

MOSCOW, 19 January (BelTA) - Belarus recorded the biggest export growth in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in January-November 2021, official representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Iya Malkina told a briefing for the press in Moscow on 19 January, BelTA has learned.

“In January-November 2021, Belarus (more than 50%) and Russia (over 45%) demonstrated the biggest increase in the export of goods to the countries outside the EAEU, compared to the same period in 2020,” said Iya Malkina.

According to her, the EAEU exports went mainly to the European Union (more than 42% of the total exports) and the APEC (28.6%). The CIS countries accounted for almost 6% of the EAEU exports (Ukraine - 2.7%, Uzbekistan - 1.6%). China (more than 27%) and Germany (almost 10%) lead in the EAEU imports.
