MINSK, 25 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Poland intend to step up cooperation in matters concerning investments and privatization, the press service of the State Property Committee of Belarus told BelTA. On 25 October the Committee’s Chairman Andrei Gayev met with Deputy Development Minister of Poland Radoslaw Domagalski-Labedzki.

The Deputy Development Minister of Poland emphasized the importance of smooth cooperation between Belarusian and Polish government agencies. He went on saying that privatization is one of the avenues of Belarus-Poland economic cooperation that the Polish side is interested in. “Poland has accumulated vast experience of privatization and is ready to share it,” noted Radoslaw Domagalski-Labedzki.

The Chairman of the State Property Committee of Belarus spoke in detail about peculiarities of the privatization process in Belarus. Andrei Gayev noted that in 2016 upon proposals of government agencies the Committee compiled a list of 56 joint-stock companies and three unitary enterprises. Preliminary terms for investing in these enterprises have been worked out.

Andrei Gayev invited anyone interested in buying the shares the government owns or enterprises as asset complexes to contact the State Property Committee of Belarus. The official said: “We will take care of all the consequent work. Potential customers can just contact us to discuss any enterprises.
