Belarus plans to introduce information audit system based on European standards

Deputy Head of the BSCC Alexander Kurlypo, Chairman of the Slovakian Supreme Audit Office Karol Mitrik, and CEO of Asseco Central Europe Jozef KleinMINSK, 11 December (BelTA) – There are plans to introduce an information audit system based on European standards in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Belarusian State Control Committee (BSCC).

During the visit of the committee’s delegation to Slovakia, the supreme audit institutions (SAIs) of Belarus and Slovakia discussed the introduction of the information audit system in Belarus, which was developed by Slovakia’s Asseco Central Europe and is used by the country’s Supreme Audit Office. The sides also discussed the possibility of holding a simultaneous event to control and analyze electronic public procurement. Following the negotiations, Deputy Head of the BSCC Alexander Kurlypo, Chairman of the Slovakian Supreme Audit Office Karol Mitrik, and CEO of Asseco Central Europe Jozef Klein signed a relevant protocol.

The simultaneous efficiency audit in social sphere is scheduled for H1 2018. Its results will be summed up during a videoconference in H2 2018. The Supreme Audit Office of Slovakia will provide the BSCC with guidance for the audit. The information audit system will be implemented in the Belarusian High-Tech Park. Jozef Klein visited the science park in November 2017. His company is now working on options of cooperation.

Cooperation between the SAIs of Belarus and Slovakia has been rapidly developing in the recent years: in 2017, the bodies signed a cooperation agreement and exchanged several visits. A breakthrough in their relations was the participation of a BSCC delegation led by BSCC Chairman Leonid Anfimov in an annual meeting of the SAIs of the Visegrad Group in September 2017 on the invitation of the Supreme Audit Office.
