MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – Mogotex, Belarus’ textile industry flagship, has developed reusable coveralls for people exposed to hazardous infections. The coveralls were produced in line with the technical standards in effect in Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom.

The coveralls were made from PROTO 65" waterproof, breathable fabric membrane developed by Mogotex in strict compliance with requirements determined by the Healthcare Ministry.

The press service noted that this spring the company has already supplied 50,000 meters of this fabric to its Russian partners in order to produce protective clothing in the territory of the Russian Federation. The company has plans to ship the fabric both to Russia and Ukraine in the future.

Meanwhile, work was underway to test the PROTO 65" and finish the necessary paperwork to launch the production of protective gear at Mogotex.

“The coverall consists of an overall and high shoe covers. The overall has a hood, a zipper with a protective flap on hook-and-loop fasteners. The protective flap creates a stiffening rib that prevents the zipper from breaking, which significantly increases the reliability of the coveralls. The seams of the overall parts are sealed with a special tape,” the concern said.

The coveralls are made of hydrophilic membranes. They are absolutely waterproof and breathable and offer increased protection against microorganisms in case of their contact with protective clothing. The breathability of the membrane increases with increasing body temperature.

The coverall is reusable and can be used in healthcare and veterinary institutions, public utility services and other organizations which staff is exposed to infections transmitted through respiratory droplets and contact.

A reminder, during a surge in the coronavirus infection, Mogotex started producing medical and non-medical face masks from nonwoven materials. In total, in February-April, one million protective products rolled off the assembly line of the company.

Mogotex is Belarus’ biggest textile producer, one of the leading textile companies on the markets of Russia and other CIS states and faraway countries.
