Belarus-Malaysia cooperation discussed in Moscow

MINSK, 4 December (BelTA) – Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik held a meeting with Ambassador of Malaysia to Russia Cheong Loon Lai on 3 December, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

The parties discussed political, trade and economic cooperation between Minsk and Kuala Lumpur. The parties also touched upon the schedule of upcoming visits at various levels. The ambassadors highlighted the importance of holding ministerial consultations to compare notes on the whole range of topical issues of bilateral interaction.

"The Belarusian ambassador emphasized that Belarusian food products, especially dairy products, are traditionally in great demand in Malaysia. Ambassador Aleksandr Rogozhnik considered it important to expand the range of Belarusian exports primarily with mechanical engineering products," the press service noted.

The ambassadors agreed on the expediency of holding the Belarusian-Malaysian business forum, which will give momentum to the interaction between the business communities of the two countries. Ambassador Aleksandr Rogozhnik also invited representatives of appropriate Malaysian agencies and the business communities to take part in the international agricultural expo Belagro.
