Belarus-made rock hauler BelAZ 75710 past 1m tonnes of rock

MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) – A mine dump truck BelAZ 75710 has transported 1 million tonnes of rock, representatives of the Belarusian Industry Ministry told BelTA. The freight turnover of the dump truck totaled 2,385,275 tonne-kilometers.

Made by the Belarusian automobile engineering company Belarusian Autoworks (BelAZ trademark), the truck has been in use in the open-pit mine Chernigovets, Russia since November 2014. It is used 24/7 to transport overburden rock. The performance has been good so far, said the source.

The 450-tonne BelAZ truck with its electromechanical transmission is a new promising product, the first model in the new class of dump trucks with an extreme carrying capacity. The first truck with the carrying capacity of 450 tonnes was commissioned in August 2014. The unique vehicle relies on cutting-edge technological solutions. The dump truck boasts an extreme carrying capacity, excellent performance, good cross-country capacity and maneuverability. Apart from that, BelAZ 75710 is reliable in use and economical.

The aggregate yield of the power modules of BelAZ 75710 stands at 4,600hp. The dump truck can overcome long sustained grades up to 12% and short grades of up to 18%. The top speed is 64kmph. The wheel diameter exceeds 4m. The operating weight is 360 tonnes while the loaded weight is 810 tonnes.
