The draft of the memorandum was handed over to the Belarusian side during a meeting at the Belarusian Economy Ministry on 10 November. The document provides for cooperation in different fields, including trade, food industry, pharmaceutics, construction, animal health, transport, logistics, tourism, computer technology and education.
“Latvia and Belarus have a goal to maintain the trade and find ways to boost it,” Arvils Aseradens said. He noted that in January-June 2016, Latvian investments in the Belarusian economy increased by 7% from the same period a year earlier. The minister added that this shows that the cooperation between the countries is growing stronger.
