Belarus, Kazakhstan discuss upcoming meeting of joint trade, economic commission

MINSK, 6 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Kazakhstan have discussed the upcoming meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“On 5 October, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan Pavel Utyupin met with Kazakhstan Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov. The parties discussed a wide range of matters of the Belarusian-Kazakh cooperation and prospects for holding the next meeting of the Belarus-Kazakhstan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation,” the press service said.

The main international instrument that outlines the priorities for joint efforts to strengthen the bilateral relations is the agreement on friendship and cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan. All in all, the two countries have signed more than 80 international agreements.

The presidents of Belarus and Kazakhstan have set concrete goals for the governments of the two countries regarding the comprehensive development of the Belarus-Kazakhstan relations, focusing on ways to intensify cooperation in trade, economy, investment, science, and technology.
