Belarus’ exports of goods, services up 17.1% in January-October 2018

MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) – In January-October 2018 Belarus' exports of goods and services totaled $34.7 billion, up 17.1% versus the same period of 2017, BelTA learned from the latest statistics report released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).

Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services totaled $68.7 billion, up 17.2% from January-October 2017. Exports amounted to $34.7 billion; imports grew by 17.3% to almost $34 billion. The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in goods and services reached $764.9 million (Br692.7 million in January-October 2017).

Belarus' trade in goods surged by 18.2% to $57.2 billion. Exports of goods went up by 18.5% to $27.6 billion, with imports up 17.9% to $29.6 billion. The deficit of Belarus' trade in goods amounted to $2 billion. In January-October 2017 the deficit stood at $1.86 billion.

Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $11.5 billion (up 12.7% as against the same period in 2017). Exports of services stood at $7.2 billion (up 12.3%), with imports at $4.3 billion (up 13.4%). The surplus of Belarus' foreign trade in services totaled $2.8 billion ($2.55 billion in January-October 2017).
