Belarus exports frozen bread to 8 countries

MINSK, 9 August (BelTA) – Belarus is supplying frozen bread to eight counties, head of the main department for bakery products of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry Vadim Pobedinsky told the media on 8 August, BelTA has learned.

“Today we are exporting frozen bakery products to eight countries. Among them is Russia (over 80% of the exports), Israel, Panama, the USA, Tajikistan, and Australia,” Vadim Pobedinsky said.

As many as 24 countries are importing Belarusian flour and cereals. “Our exports have many destinations. Among them is Africa (the first batch of rye flour has been delivered to Egypt), Venezuela, South Korea and China,” he clarified.

Vadim Pobedinsky also noted that Belarus has done everything to produce and store up buckwheat. There are plans to store up 15,000 tonnes of buckwheat in 2017. “If we process it, 50% of the demand of the domestic market will be satisfied,” Vadim Pobedinsky added.
